 NWPP cadres take to street against Gaddafi's killing

Nepal Workers and Peasants Party (NWPP) staged street protest against the killing of former Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi in Bhaktapur Friday.

Members of youth and student wings of NWPP took to the street, chanting slogans against Gaddafi's killing.

The protesters also chanted slogans against USA and NATO intervention in Libya and expressed tribute to Gaddfi in their slogan "long live Colonel Gaddafi".

The NWPP has said overthrowing of Gaddfi's regime by providing support to the rebel forces was part of the strategy to capture Libyan oil reserves.

Gaddafi was shot and killed by rebel forces yesterday in his hometown Sirte.nepalnews.com
