If you have a receipt number, you can call USCIS and get a ticket number, which allows a decision in 45 days. If you do not have a receipt number, get the receipt number from the back of the check that was deposited with USCIS.

Commom Satoshgiri Ji , You wanna call USCIS at this last minute and wait another 45 days , when this should be finalized in couple of days. By rule, (remeber rules are made to be broken, specially when it is with the rule makers) USCIS should notify each applicants with the letter before the start of Oct 1. I have seen several people writing here in Sajha about their frds getting notice letter on 29 and 30. Or it is possible that every case till date which has not been finalized is meant for "APPROVED".
