American deported for violating climbing rules

An American climber caught with 'free Tibet' banner by security personnel in the base camp of Mt Everest has been deported to US on Monday.

According to media repots, tourist police escorted William Brant Holland to Tribhuvan International Airport for deportation.

The government has restricted him climbing any mountains in the country for another two years.

Government has tighten the security at the Everest base camp after repeated requests from the Chinese government to ensure safe passage for the troubled Beijing Olympics torch to top of the world on May 10.
