Hey guys!! I will be eligible to apply for citizenship in Jan 2014. And I need some help regarding my dilemma about whether to apply for citizenship or not.. I don't know a lot about how it works as if I will loose my citizenship in Nepal and wont have same right and also about owning any properties in Nepal? Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you guys.

My understanding is with current law, nepalese citizenship is void after obtaining US citizenship (or any other country citizenship). Can the void nepalese citizenship be reinstated if the other country citizenship is abandoned? Just curious.

This is very important issue. Most Nepalese have property back home and that could worth millions. If something happens here who knows we may choose to go back. Are anybody debating about dual citizenship? What is a point of paying $ 500 for NRN cards if Bhutanese, Bangladeshi and Indians own citizenship of Nepal. Our culture is to espionage other progress and find a fault to ruin their life. I am pretty sure "idk2013" own neighbors and cousins will report wherever they should be to lose his/her wealth.

Sorry, I am referring to "acer05" not "idk2013". Probably its applicable to all Nepalese.

@ euta_nepali
I am not a lawyer or a specialist in the field, but to my knowledge, Nepalese citizenship will be reinstated if foreign citizenship is abandoned.
